Over a period of producing more than 27 years, over 70 songs, and 23 full length album and single releases, Charles Chowee Thomas, AKA Chowee, has not only maintained a steady flow of new music that continues to push the boundaries of Christian Rap/Hip Hop throughout his indie music career, he has performed publicly relentlessly, constantly refining every aspect of his craft with legacy always in the forefront of his purpose. Following the success of his 2022 full-length album with 22 Songs From the Follow You Album, Chowee has released several singles and just recently released his new single entitled Holy Holy April 31, 2024 on his LWorx Records Independent label, distributed by DistroKid. Chowee also released a single entitle To The Bank over the summer of 2023 and performed it
publicly at the African American Wellness Walk event, Clippers Stadium at Huntington Park, the Columbus Gospel Fest 2023 and multiple events surrounding the Columbus, Tennessee, and Mississippi areas.
Not only is Chowee a Christian Rap Artist, and owner of LWorx Records, but he has been pastoring a church in Columbus, Ohio called LifeWorks Family Center for 8 years along with his wife and acting music manager, Tara R. Crim-Thomas. Because of his love for God, ministry, and seeing lives changed throughout his ministry, he was led to write a book entitled In Pursuit of Purpose, which was released on the Amazon platform on December 31, 2023. Chowee has been receiving nothing but positive feedback of those who have already got a hold of his new book. As an upcoming new author, Chowee is excited about releasing more books in 2024 to encourage, empower, and bring edification to the body of Christ and those in need of healing in their life.
With a biblical lyrical sensitivity to his urban song compositions, his music draws listeners in with subtlety and introspective levity with an inviting message of faith. Bringing a distinctive angle to his rap-vocal arranging, he creates an atmosphere to both dance and receive a powerful message of hope, transformation, and encouragement. He hit his first 100K music streams in 2024. Chowee is excited to continue to write, perform and produce music that uplifts the kingdom of God.
