Gabriel Day, a minister, recording artist and the founder of Last Trump LLC, was born and raised in Rome, NY. Now living in Columbus, Ohio, he desires to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and be a living example of God's love and power. He started Last Trump to bring nationally known artists to town and provide a platform for local artists to get exposure. Through concerts and events he has brought in some of gospel music’s most prominent artists. The company has since developed into a “one stop shop” for anything gospel music related for indie artists. The vision also incorporates serving the community through outreach. He says coming out with his debut album entitled "The Message" was a burden God put on his heart to do. His focus is ministry and through music reaches out with his lyrics. He believes his lyrics "mixed with a little bit of faith, will change peoples lives". Gabriel grew up in church but strayed away from God and left home at the early age of 15, where he became involved with the fast life of the streets. Day became a teenage father, began selling drugs, started a gang and began getting into trouble. He started battling depression, addictions to smoking weed, and alcoholism on a roller coaster of highs and lows. After gaining status in the streets it was while he felt like he was "on top" that God sent a message that changed his life forever. A text that simply said, "choose you this day, whom you will serve". That message brought an unshakable amount of conviction, eye-opening revelation, and also offered hope that couldn't be ignored. After that moment Gabriel surrendered his life to God through Jesus Christ. He experienced immediate deliverance, and he has been on a relentless mission to reach as many people as possible spreading the love of God, and gospel of Christ. He is on a concentrated mission to do God's will and glorify Him with his whole life. Day says as a Christian not just the music but everything he does is a part of the lifestyle he lives. His first album The Message was re-released in June 2014. He spent much of 2015 building and branding Last Trump while also managing 2 other artists and hosting several events and still managed to drop some inspiring music while working on his second album. He was nominated for 3 Kingdom Image Awards in 2015 and has been very active in the community with the homeless, youth, and young adults. In 2016 he won a Kingdom Image award for Hip Hop artist of the year. His second album "Signs" was released May 12, 2017 where he is alerting the world of the "signs" of the times as well as the demonstration of the "signs" that follow the believers. This album came after four years of transition for Gabriel. Signs debuted on 3 Billboard charts including heat seekers east north central, Christian and Gospel album sales, and Christian album sales. Gabriel spent time serving on the executive board for the Kingdom Image Awards. In July of 2018 he released his first film, a documentary called Exposing The Church, which highlights the positive impact believers are making in their communities. This documentary was just one month after the release of his new single Love Never Fails. He then went out on the WAR Tour (worship and rap) with some amazing gospel artists to go to war against the issues destroying lives and communities using the power in their music to make an impact. It was his fourth tour in his career. He balances his ministry and artistry while also seeking a bachelors of science in religion: biblical and theological studies, at Liberty University as an undergraduate student. He recently released his highly anticipated 3rd album “Church” which debuted on 7 Billboard Charts including #1 on the Heatseeker east north central chart and the #29 r&b and hip hop album in the country. He was awarded 2019 Kingdom Image Awards Hip Hop Artist of the Year. He was also awarded the 2019 Kingdom Cares community service award for his work in the community. Day is seeking to fulfill the great commission city to city. His newest album “Stripped” is where he takes an introspective look inside of the man and the challenges of navigating a world of transition giving a fresh perspective to a post pandemic world. Gabriel’s new album debuted high on the charts once again and He continues to climb the rankings of success.
