Keeya C-L Enterprises is a newly formed production and entertainment company for Godly-minded people of all ages. Keeya Chapman-Langford is the founder & CEO of the company and has been performing since the age of five. Her humble beginnings are richly rooted in gospel music and stage plays. Not only does she produce and perform, but she is also passionate about mentoring others in taking their gifts and talents to the next level. So much so that most of her actors are first time thespians under her tutelage.

Keeya can always be found close to the stage. Over the last ten years she has performed at the legendary Karamu Playhouse in Black Nativity, Dreamgirls, Julius Caesar Set in Africa, and Purses. She was presented the 2014-2015 Chanticleer Best Actress award by Weathervane Playhouse for her performance as Mama Lena Younger in A Raisin in the Sun and she was also presented the International Model and Talent Association’s 2015 New York, Actress of the Year award; and placed second in their international singing competition. Keeya has also performed in Clybourne Park at Weathervane Playhouse. In addition to being a passionate playwright and actress, Keeya is a licensed evangelist, gospel recording artist, and published author of the book Violated by the Enemy. To name a few of her written stage plays: The Toys are Talking, Choices, A Borrowed Holiday, a set of monologues entitled, The Women Who Met Jesus, and a play about gun violence in our communities entitled A Hot Summer’s Day.

In 2023 Keeya formed her drama company and decided to take her production “When Jesus Knocks” to another level. Doing the work to garner sponsorship, hire actors, and crew members inclusive of a sound tech, full band, and background singers was a large undertaking, but she was able to produce three successful shows during 2023. The first was done at First Apostolic Faith Church on Good Friday and the other at Cleveland State University on October 21st. Keeya was also responsible for writing and directing a holiday production entitled A Modern-Day Christmas Story, her third production for the year, a pantomime musical, sharing the story of the birth of Jesus in a modern-day setting. This production was performed on December 23rd.
Keeya is looking forward to continuing the journey of providing wholesome entertainment for the world at large. Sharing stories of redemption, empowerment, and triumph for people from all walks of life. In the fall of 2024, the production company will perform When Jesus Knocks at the Weathervane Playhouse for a live recording, as well as complete the fall tour dates for other Midwest cities. The next stage production, Choices, is already in the works.
