LoVetta Jenkins is a Youngstown native who is a product of Youngstown City Schools. She graduated from Full Sail University, one of the country’s top schools for filmmaking and media communications, at the top of her class with a Bachelor’s Degree in Cinematography and a Master’s in Entertainment Business. Ms. Jenkins has worked both in front of and behind cameras and microphones for decades. She is an author, social media strategist, event host, public speaker, columnist and credential holder with A+E and AMC Networks, Warner Media, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and The Recording Academy just to name a few. She is also a member of the Black Women in Radio professional organization, The National Council of Negro Women, Forbes BLK, The Youngstown Press Club and National Association of Black Journalists. As an important local part of The Steve Harvey Morning Show, beginning at 7am, Ms. Jenkins is the market’s most recognized African-American woman and has been the undisputed urban "voice of Youngstown-Warren” for the past 7 years. She’s known for her unique ability to keep listeners entertained and informed on pop-culture, local news, entertainment news and her love of technology. Ms. Jenkins started her own entertainment and news blog, ChattyPassenger.com, in 2017 and has covered such events as The Oscars, The Grammys and NAACP Image Awards among countless other events. Ms. Jenkins has done product testing, book and film reviews and her listeners value her opinion knowing she doesn’t talk about anything that she’s not willing to stand by.
