Shaletha Sanders

Shaletha Sanders is uniquely gifted and I have known her to be a woman of good character, loyalty, and consistency. She exemplifies excellence and has high ethical and moral standards. She is the Leading Lady of Faith Empowerment Center, where she serves alongside her husband Bishop Joel Sanders. She is a licensed Evangelist through Faith Empowerment Center. She is a motivational and global speaker. She encourages individuals all over the world. She has ministered in the USA, Ghana, Barbados, Trinidad, Turks and Caicos, etc., just to name a few. Since 2008, through Faith Empowerment Center, Shaletha has facilitated FEC’s free toy giveaway, free backpack giveaway, God’s Girl Mentoring Group, and the Esther Sanders Scholarship Award for Young Scholars. She is a public and global speaker, motivational coach, philanthropist, and author. She authored two books titled, “It’s Time For An Upgrade and Shine Like A Masterpiece.” For 2 years, she was a host of her own T.V. show on Trinity Broadcast Network. She is the CEO of JMJ Cosmetics. Shaletha and her husband established Nyame Mba Foundation, where they are feeding children in Africa. In 2023, Nyame Mba Foundation fed over 2,000 Ghanaian children.
Educationally, Shaletha graduated from The Ohio State University earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts and Sciences. She majored in Criminology and minored in Sociology. Shaletha earned a Master’s Degree at Walden University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is a counselor resident at Metamorphosis Counseling.


In the marketplace, she has exemplified dedication, leadership skills and hardworking characteristics. She has been employed with Franklin County for a total of eighteen years. After she graduated from OSU, she landed her first job at Franklin County Children Services as a Child Welfare Caseworker. She worked there for a total of 6 years. She worked a total of 12 years at Franklin County Court of Common Pleas Division of Domestic Relations and Juvenile Branch as a Pre-Sentence Investigator and Probation Officer. While working in the probation department, she chaired the Youth Advisory Council, she was an EPICS train the trainer, and a CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor.


Shaletha is a prominent role model in the community. She has a passion for youth and families. She has extended a lending hand while collaborating with organizations within our community to attempt to decrease outstanding issues and concerns affecting society. Some of these issues include the following: adolescent pregnancy, bullying, crime, domestic violence, homelessness, poverty, lack of housing, unemployment, inequality, racism, etc., Therefore, in 2018, she started Y.E.S. Groups (Youth Empowerment Services Groups). These programs focus on the development of youth to become role models and leaders within their community. Her contribution to the community has been impeccable. She has volunteered at the following organizations: Habitat For Humanity, Volunteers of America, American Red Cross, and Salvation Army. She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Her efforts in the community speak volumes of her character. Her motto is, “Live Local, but think Global.” Her favorite scripture is, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
