Rick & Reese have been serving the community for years. They are ministers at the Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies. They have served in the capacity of Youth Leaders, deacons and more. Both have families, are educated and entrepreneurs in their own right.
The Rick & Reese Brand has multiple facets that consist of The Rick & Reese Show, The Yes Youth Can Tour and RJ2 which is an upcoming mentoring and public speaking platform from up and coming youth.
The Yes Youth Can tour was featured in the Columbus Dispatch and on Fox 28 Good Day. Their mission was to give back to the children and encourage them in their studies and the city truly turned out for that.
Meet Rick (Richard) Jones: Received a full scholarship to the University of Akron to play Division I football. After attending college and playing football he earned his degree in Mass Media Communications. Richard surrendered his life to Christ, in 2002. Since his conversion, he has spoken on how God has changed his life. He also was selected by Bishop Sherman Watkins to preach at The Potters House in Dallas, Texas where TD Jakes is the Senior Pastor. Richard is an entrepreneur and CEO of his own business, Education of Excellence, LLC. According to The Columbus Dispatch, Education of Excellence, LLC was named one of the Top Five largest tutoring providers in the city.
Richard is a member of Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies under the awesome leadership of the honorable Dr. Sherman S. Watkins, where he Ministers, serves on the Deacon Board and teaches Bible Study as well as the New Believers Class. In August 2003, he was blessed with his lovely wife Malrissa. This blessed couple has a nine year old daughter (Marisa Love) and a three year old Mariah Jones.
Meet Reese (Maurice) James: He graduated from Cuesta College in 1999 with an Associate of Arts, Business Management, and Marketing/Related Support Services. Recognizing the struggles that people are faced with today, lead him to want to help make a difference. With a testimony of diversity, and because he has been where many of them are now, he is able to relate to people and communicate with them on their level. Maurice is an entrepreneur and CEO of Capital City Referral Services. Capital City Referral Services assist applicants in great hiring opportunities in the Columbus Metropolitan area. They have a 100% placement and satisfaction rate with employees and clients.
Maurice is a member of the Higher Ground always abounding assemblies in Columbus, Ohio, under the awesome and profound leadership of Dr. Sherman S. Watkins. He is a licensed Evangelist in the Higher Ground organization. Maurice is also a proud father of three beautiful children London, Jalen, and Dominic, and believes whole heartedly that his family is his first ministry. He is engaged to his wonderful fiancé Melinda Earnest.
